I love adventures, and so I loved being on the pirate ship, getting to know all the pirates and their mischievous, fun-loving ways, and travelling all over the world, from Boston to Madagascar to India and back. Now, the way the book had been going the whole time, I was totally expecting it to end something like this: That being said, the last four chapters or so caught me totally, and painfully, off-guard. The spine may show signs of wear. . Although Daniel seems naïve at times, he deals with difficult issues and hard truths, and usually grows in wisdom and understanding. Once the pirates swarm over the ship, a horrified Daniel watches while the pirate captain, Josiah Black, kills his father. He never imagined they could be pirates. Overall, Voyage of Plunder is a great story about one young man's struggle to stay alive in incredibly perilous times.
