Although this book has not been read yet, I am pretty sure it is a good book as it promotes healthy living and tolerance with different cultures and backgrounds and this is the essence of living in this world which is often overlooked. Why doesn't he want them to go over there? This greatly helped me for references. The reason behind it is because Lily is tremendously fearless, daring, caring, loving, she stands up for what she believes in and she never gives up. The new family is black, and the white dad doesn't like them because of their color.
I think the message of the book is quite clear. They love the stories he tells about his days as a football player. This greatly helped me for references. She was a source of light for all who had the privilege to know her. I believe that this book would have a strong influence on many young readers and I can clearly see how much time and effort was put into the book. This was great in parts because it did get boring sometimes and made me more intrigued in the story and made it seem more real life. It is a very interesting to read and has been written very well.
The characters in this book are very realistic. I learnt a lot while reading it and also when watching Rabbit Proof Fence. Overall i give this book a 3. This could have been one of the best books of 2000 well I mean except for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but I still enjoyed Two Hands together just the same. The character Dad truly is the person that makes you feel lots of emotions when reading this book.
Her books include Onion Tears, The Fat and Juicy Place and I Love You, Jason Delaney. I find that the book was very life relating and it made sense if this scenario would happen in the real world. I give this book a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The award-winning and much-loved children's book author Diana Kidd died recently in London en route to Spain, having just completed the finishing touches on her latest novel for young people. I thought that Diana Kidd did an awesome job with this book. Two Hands Together is an enjoyable book to read. There are two families they are both so similar but their dad doesn't want both of them to go to the neighbors house when that's when there have such a great time.
While you are reading the book you learn a lot about the characters and their personalities. My opinion on this book is that it has a good general theme and information on the stolen generation, racism and changing your thoughts. I admit that the storyline could of improved and had a higher apex point. Over all I believe that thus book was pretty good as there was a very powerful message about racism from the white people to the aboriginals. She was not only a talented and gifted writer, but a giving and wise soul who always gave much more than she expected back.
This book is also talks about racism and how it can affect other people, when you are being racist to them. The Dad was a realistic character that depicts a typical Australian personality. I give Two Hands Together 4 stars out of 5. The award-winning and much-loved children's book author Diana Kidd died recently in London en route to Spain, having just completed the finishing touches on her latest novel for young people. Some such as humorous, sad, confused. The book is very child friendly but at the same time my age limit would be around 12+.
There is a lot of events that happen there will be a big change on you and what you think of people when you see them. This book is about Lily's family. Lily was not allowed to tell her dad that she was friends with a aboriginal or else her dad would get really angry because the dad is really racists and does not want any of his children next to them! Some parts of the book and be a little boring and too childish. The message in this story was very strong, and made me really think about racism and just how much it can effect people. Each character had a very interesting personality that you can easily visualize what type of person they are.
The message of racism that this book portrays was a nice and the book was very interesting and shows a lot of great traits. There was lots of suspense in the novel for example when the person is being racist to the other people and when the kids ignore the other people because of there colour and then wondered would those people ever expect me because of what my family said about them. When her dad finds out, he does something terrible. Dad was a very racist character and i am glad that the author did make dad a racist character because it is good to read about racist people and it makes you realise that there are people in this world who are racist. It is also related to people that judge people before they get to know them, whether it is because of the skin, race, size or even the way they look.
