Overall, I liked having this followup to the main story to see how everything came out. The author doesn't rush through anything instead she lets the story unfold very naturally.

But Prissie has as much trouble viewing Ransom as a potential husband as she had ten years earlier viewing him as a friend. And all his friends are shell-shocked from the moment he first gets stabbed through the heart. It had all been a dream, just a dream. It's also a sequel to the Threshold series, taking place ten years later and showing how various characters in the original series' lives turned out, so I would definitely recommend reading the Threshold series first. Perfect Continuation First I fell in love with the Threshold Series when I couldn't find anything else that was focused on bible-based angels. The Threshold Series is a book any girl will love Mrs. Although I ended up liking the show, especially once I read the manga and got to see some of the later ways things play out, the beginning is just hard for me to watch. I can relive the memories, relive the journey and when all else fails I can relive my dream. Not telling her brothers is common sense, but Ransom has a better reason to know by the end.

But Prissie mellowed out a lot, and as usual surrounds herself with a diverse crowd. It helps add to the tension, but it takes away a ton of the fun. And Prissie is distracted by a demon who has taken a particular interest in her. An old enemy finds his way back to the Pomeroys' farm, and the Guardian who knows him best must step forward to keep Prissie safe.
Which is a great contrast to the general heaviness of the overall book. Why couldn't that happen to me? But neither the anime nor the manga treats that question much. All in all, I thought it was a worthy sequel to the Threshold series and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I rate this book Recommended. I wonder if Ethan ever figured out his main qualification was looking like a teenager. Why couldn't that happen to me? Silas had become like a second younger brother to me since he had moved in this summer.
